Change is good ...... ummm ..... I'm not sure !!
It seems that change is good .... really !! Haven't we generalized a little too much here. Lets look at the situation when people are separated ...friends....lovers ... companions, due to unforseen circumstances or situations that are beyond their realm of control. Yes, they are going to start a new life altogether and things, memories, companionship, love, IT'S ALL GOING TO CHANGE FOR THEM !! Can we still really say that this change is good for them ? Comments ?

It's wednesday which means two things .... to the optimist it's two days for the weekend .. for the pessimist its probably two more friggin work days ... for me on the other hand it's two more days of watching stupid reality shows on TBS. Well for all those who watched the DNC, didnt Heinz Kerry sound like she was stoned. I mean she's usually a pretty good speaker but yesterday was deplorable. Nothing could top Bill Clinton's speech though ... hat's off to the past president ... hmmm.. or in Clinton's case should I have used the term " Pant's off " instead !! Anyways, I'm still totally confused as to which car I should buy. Then when the next bank statement arrives in the mail, I tell myself
" Maybe 'ol faithful .. ain't dying as yet....let's give her another winter " On the personal front I'm moving to Syracuse, NY next month. Ahhh ...as if 3 feet of snow wasn't enough in boring binghamton ... !!

Lately I've been pretty inspired by the work of director Michael Moore. I thought that Fahrenheit 9/11 was an eyeopener. For those who havent seen the movie, I highly recommend it...it's one of those "MUST WATCH" types. Even though I don't think that opinions should be based on a movie, an exposure to an different opinion never really hurt anyone. Politics has probably gotten as dirty as it can get in this country and more than non-americans like myself, people who can really make a difference in deciding the next leader should definately make that trip to the movies this Friday. On the other hand unless you're from the slip states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc there is a strong chance that your vote probbaly won't have a huge impact on the outcome of the elections ( as was evident in the Gore Vs Bush fiasco ). Anyways, enough politics !!!
For all you readers out there The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is definately worth a read !! On the another one bits the dust list is my pal ' Yash Dave" who will join the list of Married ( You're life is over) list on the 25th of Dec,2004. Just kiddin" !! My best wishes to the couple ... I'll probably attend the wedding myself !!
Sundays are boring man !! laterzzzz

Slam Bam ....ooops there's a Cam !!
I kinda feel sorry for the odd couple in a city like ...lets say Bombay !! Living with the usual 2 aunts, 3 uncles, 3 grandparents, 4 siblings and a mom and dad, seldom would they actually have the house to themselves to get it on. And for our young lad filled with those hormones, that time of the night ..just after watching a wet white saree clad Mandakini in Ram Teri Ganga Maili, can make things hard for him man (no pun intended) !!
Someone sent me this e-mail the other day where this couple decided to TURN UP THE HEAT at a cyber cafe. Little did they know that in a few hours time that stunt of theirs would turn into a Vouyerweb experience for people around the world.
Well all that aside ...good show by Greece the other day. I'm sure a lotta bookies would have made money given the 80:1 ratio of Greece reaching the finals.
As far as work goes, gonna be in all weekend, so keep those e-mails flowing.

After an unnecesssary one month's break from blogging I have returned !! APPLAUSE
A lot actually happened in this month so blogging would have been a cup of cake as far as matter is concerned. For those of you avid bloggers out there, you know what I mean. You decide that you're gonna blog your way into the history books by updating that blog of your's every single day, writing stuff that nobody really wants to hear and then ..... on the third day around the time when you reach line 2 you find yourself looking towards the monitor staring into oblivion.
Well, anyways I've come to a conclusion that as the weather gets warmer (namely as you move south ) not only does clothing become scantier but the sights for some reason become more soothing. Given that logic we should have baywatch hotties roaming the streets of deccan and ravivar peth (fellow puneites will get the geographical reference). Hmmmm ... now wouldn't that be nice. What we have being rather respectful is BUXOM Vs BOSOM.
I made a trip to the Sunshine State - Florida early this month, and boy what a blast it was. For those people sitting at their office desk just after a heavy lunch, interested in whats happening in my life you can take a look at the snaps at http://photos.yahoo.com/akh_singh and click on Orlando.
Well, with great shame I say this to you all ...I haven't seen a single EURO 2004 match courtesy TIME WARNER CABLE, Inc and its $ 25.00 a match fee. Inspite the economic downturn, I have decided to take the monetary plunge and buy the quarter finals, semi's and the final. Other than that what could be worse than missing the Canadian Grand Prix with tickets in hand. I have no idea why I'm writing this as it is definately leading to "LOSER" self-proclamation.
Rahul, I hope with the return of mindless blogging, I've made it a little easier for you to kill time while making those countless phonecalls to India from work.
Until, the next blog ( hopefully not 24th of July)
Laterzzz Peepals !!

The guy who pays the bill will be along shortly
Today's thought !!
Have you ever noticed that the waiter who takes your order is not the one who brings your food anymore? What is THAT about? And which waiter are you tipping, anyway? I think next time I go to a restaurant I'll just say, Oh, sorry, I only eat the food. The guy who pays the bill will be along shortly."
George Carlin has inspired me to think of utter nonsence just when I am trying to do something important. For those who havent, read the one about " Preboarding the airplane ". I've started questioning everything thats said by people at work, people I dont know etc and make a valliant effort to produce something along the lines of Mr. Carlin. Ofcourse, most of the time I end up feeling like a jackass, but what the heck !!
I'm in that time of the day when people at work have gone home, my productivity level is at an alltime low and yet for some god forsaken reason I refuse to leave my cubicle. Instead, I choose to sit here, blog and feel like " Ahh ...damn I work hard " . I'm outta here !!

Pissed ( a tonne') ..... on the Nets !!
It was another awesome display of what people like to call an Asswhooping !! The Nets trailed by 12 at halftime and never got any closer, losing 90-69 to the Pistons in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Thursday. The amazing thing being that Jason Kidd didn't score a single point.
I am now a follower of the new religion Wallace (ism). Full restecpa to maah maan Ben Wallace who went through the Jersey defence like a hot knife thru' butter.
Well, congratualtions to our new PM cum Finance minister ...Moneymohan Singh. Well done fellow jhanda !!
I'm going to try and mention one fact to ponder about each day ... for today think about this fellows ...
Why is Ovaltine Chocolate drink called Ovaltine ? Well, the can in round ...the mug from which you drink is round .. but yet OVALTINE !! Sam Mehta, we shall try and see who kills a person first by reaching the lowest level of blogging intelligence !!
Laterrzzz people !!

No firanga holds my tiranga !
Well, I spent an entire morning arguing the fact that it was a matter of pride in not having a foreigner as the Pm of our country. During this conversation, I was labelled a narrow minded, person who was taking refuge in patriotism to support the BJP. I have not really been dogmatic about politics for a while now, but inspite of not knowing the true calibre of Sonia Gandhi, I am pleased at the fact that she decided to decline becoming the next PM. The minute the relief set in an horrific thought crossed my mind. NOT SONIA ... then who ? And for minute ( before reading her recommendation for PM ) I wondered that maybe, just maybe, it could be LALOO PRASAD. For that minute, I just wondered if it might infact be better if she were to become PM.
Well, I dont think we can actually be happy or sad about anything until and unless we see it with our own eyes. Living in a happening place like Binghamton ( Upstate New York ) where you should throw a party if you see someone walking on the roads after 4 p.m. ) blogging is becoming a difficult task. But I shall try and keep your lives interesting. Till tomorrow ....laterzzz !!! BTW .....for those who haven't seen TROY .....run to the theatre now !!!

It was something that the media surprisingly didn't broadcast over and over again.I came home and put on the T.V only to be witness to another horrifying act of barbarism. An american contracter Nick Berg was mercilessly beheaded in Iraq by some extremists. I dont know what got into me by I somehow managed to get the actual video footage of the beheading. I have just one thing to say...it's left an indelible image in my mind. I know that it's stupid to watch someone being killed, but ......
It's amazing that innocent people are getting massacred e.g. civilian cotractor Nick Berg,
for a cause that still goes unanswered. Your country goes and destroys another....you are then sent there to rebuild this attacked nation because your country thinks that it's presence there will change year old policies and people. Yet, you, the innocent...your family, your loved one's ...
are the victim(s). Hmmmm !!!
What's happening people !

I think all you guys and gals out there who enjoy some witty comedy and have seen " OLD SCHOOL" will understand my sentiments when I hear the sentence" Sombody's got a case of the Mooondays". Why is it that the only happy people on a Monday morning seem to be the barrista's behind the counter of a Starbucks drive thru.
"I'll have a Grande White Chocolate Mocha" is what I say.... utterly disgusted by the fact that I have to drive 50 mins to work when its raining outside. And other than the usual " will that be all sir .. I also have to hear the cashier say ... Isn't it a wonderful morning" ... Hmmm !! Suddenly the images of the fat lady behind the customer service counter in " Old School" pop up in my mind.
It's too bad that "Seinfeld" had to get over. Evertime I watch Kramer enter Jerry's door, I've missed the next one minute because I've spent that time laughing my guts out. Its actually a wonderful evening here in Binghamton with summer finally deciding to shower its rays upon the southern tier.
Tomorrow's another day ... one where I'll meet my happy friendly barrista ( she's kinda cute coming to think of it ) and I'm going to try and get through it without the level of bickering prevalent on Mondays. And just like the American's I'm gonna feel happy as I get up tomorrow morning knowing that the weekend is just 3 days away.
Sayonara !
